Which of these players is the best of all time?
The football world is currently in the midst of a double digit multiplication debate.
As of now, there are a whopping 1,000 players who have made at least one appearance for their respective teams in the Premier League.
There are also a whopping 5,000 more who have never appeared for their clubs, such as Fabio Borini and Paul Pogba.
The number of top-flight players who are in their 30s has also risen significantly.
For example, in 2015, the oldest player was 28-year-old Fabio Capello.
This year, we see another 21-year old, Roberto Carlos, who was just 23-years-old when he joined Napoli.
In a bid to keep the debate going, we have decided to take a look at the players with the best and worst performances of their careers.
This is the first of two articles that will examine a player’s greatest and worst games.
First, we’ll look at a player whose career has been the most controversial and will look at his career through the prism of the double digit numbers.
Then, we will look into the other players who had some of the most disappointing performances, and how they were able to turn that around.
This article is a little bit longer than we expected and we will be discussing a player who has a career that was so controversial that we will probably have to break the rules to get a full review.
However, this article is only for the most ardent of football fans.
It is the same rules that apply to any article and the reader can also choose to skip ahead to the next article, which will focus on a player that has had a great career and has the best statistics of his career.
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
